Cherron "CC" Newby has encouraged and motivated ex-offenders to go from "avoiding" the long arm of te law to "working" for the long arm of the law.
She has shown single mothers how more education will help them take better care of their families; without the help of the state.
She is grooming small business owners to go from "working" in their businesses; to "running" their businesses.
CC is helping Hispanics and other ethnic groups come together to become the resources they need. This is to help them be able to live in any community, knowing help is just a phone call away.
Cherron "CC" Newby is not new to politics.
Originally from Washington, DC she once worked for a company that lobbied against "Star Wars" during the mid 1980s.
She met many Senators and Representatives and was able to see politics up close and personal on a national level.
Since living in Florida she became a part of the Republican Executive Committee in Duval County. She is also the secretary for the Florida Assembly of Black Republicans.
CC has helped in numerous campaigns, making phone calls, walking, knocking on doors, holding signs, placing signs, and more.
In January of 2012, CC was appointed to the Faith-Based Community-Base
Advisory Board by Governor Scott.
Cherron "CC" Newby has also been an entrepreneur. In 2003 and 2004 she hired 45 homeless individuals and ex-offenders putting them back to work on three "Better Jacksonville" projects.
Her first 8a (Federal Government) contract. She hired homeless veterans and helped them find resources to get them back as productive citizens.
